"Artificial Depression" and Eating Disorders
November 22, 2010 I have become a fan of Shan Larter. Shan is an Eating Disorder Freedom Coach. She is bold, yet compassionate in her approach to coaching. I have not suffered from an eating disorder but have friends who have and have seen the toll it takes on their mental and physical health. Shan's messages have helped me to understand the inner struggles of women and men with eating disorders.
Even if eating disorders are not close to home, I highly recommend watching Shan's videos. The element of restoring health begins with good nutrition—a topic she covers in almost every message.
In this video she disscusses the "Cause of Eating Disorders" linked to "Artificial Depression"—essentially depression brought on by diet (specifically refined sugar, refined carbs and artificial sweeteners).
